There was no update this past week, obviously. It all got away from me with the launch shows.
But the update is back this week, with a bullet (with bullets, actually).
This week in Toronto:

Charity & Chastity (Chelsea Manders & Ingrid Haas) headline the Bitch Salad comedy showcase Tuesday at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.
- British filmmaker Edgar Wright, in town for six weeks, kicks off a weekend residency at the Bloor Cinema with his films “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz” on Saturday;
- noted actors and playwrights read scripts written by children Saturday afternoon at “Script Superheroes” at Comedy Bar;
- The Diableros and The Coast headline a terrific bill of local talent at the Horseshoe Tavern on Saturday night;
- over 100 performers participate in “Krima..What a Shame“’s takeover of the Young Centre at 3 shows on Sunday;
- Slamdance film fest fave “Son of the Sunshine” has a special preview screening at Deluxe Monday evening;
- comedy show “Bitch Salad” features a gaggle of very funny and attractive ladies, hosted by wit Andrew Johnston, at Buddies on Tuesday;
- Dora winning “Pyassa” creator Anusree Roy debuts her new solo work “Letters To My Grandma” this week at Theatre Passe Muraille;
- there’s a viewing party for Toronto author Carl Wilson’s appearance on “The Colbert Report” Wednesday at the Pilot Tavern (his book was mentioned by James Franco on the Oscars red carpet);
- and comedienne Rebecca Northan brings her romantically adventurous alter ego Mimi Gosselin to the Harbourfront Centre’s Worldstage series for a 5 night run of “Blind Date“, starting Tuesday.

Nick Frost, Director Edgar Wright, & Simon Pegg of "Hot Fuzz". Wright will be kicking off a 6 week weekend programming residency at the Bloor Cinema on Saturday, starting with his films "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz".
